Is there anyway to know if I have a locked barton 2500+ or not? It's not a mobile barton.

Here's my code from my 2500+ non-mobile:

AXDA2500DKV4D
PQZEA 0332 MPMW
1999 AMD

The code will be shown on the top of CPU with a black sticker and white letters. The 0332 in bold means it was produced during Week 32 of the Year 03 (2003). If your chip was produced after weeks 32-39 of last year, then it's locked. For those chips between weeks 32-39, you'll just have to test it to see if it's locked or not.

The PQZEA is the stepping of the chip. Some steppings overclock better than others.

Thanks! Ok mine was produced Week 11 of this year. So the only way to over clock this is through the FSB, right?

Yep, that's all you can do, but most 2500+ will be able to hit 2.2ghz (11x200) with little or no voltage bump.
