"Locked" BIOS on my laptop

My Micron TransPort ZX came with Windows 2000 and a locked BIOS (minimum changes allowed). Does anyone have any ideas on how to unlock the BIOS!

You can open it up and pull out the CMOS battery or flip a BIOS reset jumper. Both of these methods maybe a little dangerous(may void warranty, laptops more difficult to work inside, etc).

sounds to me like that bios has little user options as opposed to being locked!
can you clarify?
