Btw.. i tried the Trackpoint button fix... and its super simple and has made a world of a difference in the feel and functionality of the buttons

I most probably do the Keyboard fix in the coming weekend ....
 
great post...gonna try the button fix on my old inspirion 4000..the buttons tend to stick and this will probaly do the trick
