Its served its purpose ive got a general idea of why win7 uses less ram and its just turned into a vista fanboy haven when the original question had nothing to do with vista.

If one of our OS mods decides your thread needs locking, they will do so. Otherwise, a bsobel has noted, your stated reason is insufficent.
