I have the original, so I'm not sure of any specific scenes that have been edited out. I'm guessing the scene where the huge gun fight is got edited for gore... not sure what else.

the end when the monkey is about to blow up the building they added a 5 minute scene of the monkey peeling a banana and throwing feces at the camera.

well, i've never seen the movie so i have no idea what scenes are different.

When a movie is filmed, they film more scenes than will fit into the time span that they figure the movie going public will endure in the theatre. Then the editors will shorten or remove scenes that they determine do not add to the movie. Later, the director will reedit the movie, adding some or all of the deleted parts, and sometimes they might film another scene or two. Also there are usually extra things added to the dvd also.
