Lock/Restart official hurricane thread on ATOT?

Is it possible to lock/reinitiate the official hurricane thread on ATOT for faster loading? It has been an excellent resource for hurricane info but is bogging down during loading, at least from here. Thank you for any consideration.

My opinion is that there's lots of useful info in there, and it should stay as is for now. It's not really the thread's fault that Fusetalk sucks for very long threads.

I've never experienced this long loading with long threads.

Must be the way folks have their browsers configured. I always set my cache to 20 meg.

Also, per the "115 pages" - that's irrelevant since each user can set the number of posts per page in their options.

edit: "I only see 25 pages."
I have my settings at 100 posts per page. Personally, I don't know why the default is so low, except perhaps for bandwidth issues, except it's mostly text.
