I was simply asking and answering you questions which you replied to me hostily.

There was not one thing I started in your posting that if you answered would have not lead to a flamefest.

You brought up non-woodworking issues, your daugther making millions, a legal team running around you, your ex-wife's arrest warrant even! and anytime I answered your direct questions you still flamed me back...I even mentioned that perhaps if you didn't flame me, I'd have nothing to respond to....yet then you send a PM which I answered and not happy with that you post yet again publicly against me.

seems to me if you simply did not respond back to me in hostility I wouldn't respond back to you, eh?

alkemyst, I read through the thread and frankly, I think you were out of line. Regardless how much you know about woodworking, you didn't appear to want to help very much. Seemed like you were more interested in showing off how much you know while belittling Pliablemoose.

I am sorry for upsetting PM, the first post I will admit sounded flaming, but that was not the intention....then I was attacked and it went downhill from there...however, you are way out of line to attack me back. You are more than welcome to prove me wrong on anything I have posted though, I post to inform not to impress. I am hardly a punk and I do not hide behind the monitor....my life is pretty open and I am sure someone would have came up with a million contradictions right now if that were the case.

Two wrongs do not make a right so perhaps you should take your own advice.

I've always had a little respect for you and thought of you as someone who wasn't afraid to take the opposite side of an issue and make your point.
I think this time you crossed the line between good natured banter and starting a flame war.
Being vocal can be a good thing. But just talking to hear the sound of your voice gets old, quick.

That was helpful.

As is usual in an argument, there are things that could have been handled better on both sides. I personally think that the middle two lines of Alkemyst's first post in the last thread should have been omitted because, intentionally or not, it's really quite hard to imagine that he couldn't tell that they would be perceived as flaimbait had he looked at them a little more.

I can see the point you were trying to make in the woodworking thread - and while it was a good one, every post you made came off as either trolling for flames, or sheer AWness.

Thanks for the PM's mods & everybody, thread was so full of crap it had to be locked.

I orderd the last component of the shop (dust collector) yesterday, will be picking up the jointer today, and will be putting my shop together over the next month & post some pics, hopefully they won't be pics of me with only 9 fingers or anything.

Let's lock this thread too.
