Location by our names

It was taken out because people were abusing it. A few members put big, long quotes or something stupid in there and it would throw the thread layout off. Yes, it was nice, but Zuni took it out with Fusetalk 3.
 
That's the main reason, but also to a certain extent, it lightens the load on the servers. It may be a small thing, but multiplied over thousands of users and thousands of posts, it adds up.
 
Yep, primarily it was abuse (since its a user-entered field) as well as, to a much lesser extent, the server load. As a fix of sorts some people put their location(s) in their sig
