Locating a MAC Address

Rogue

Banned
I noticed in my router log file that a MAC address on my network has the same IP address as a router interface. Is there an easy way to find a specific MAC address on a 4000+ node network?

I've already searched our SMS catalog for the MAC in question and it doesn't appear to be a Windows client. It's either a network device (switch, router, etc.) or a network attached printer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

trace it through the mac address tables of the switch or use your network management program.

Yeah, I forgot my network management program has the ability to search for it. Thanks!
