Moronic school system decided to keep them there until it got too bad, now the kids have to stay there unless their parents wantr to pick them up....

keep in mind it will probably take the parents a couple of hours to get there and a couple to get back because the city and county chose not to do anything about the roads...

God I love public schools....

School is not even contacting parents, had a radio listener call-in while sitting in traffic...His crying daughter called her mom and said she was stuck at school...so he has been in traffic for the last hour and a half trying to make it to her.

What is going on? Bad weather?

If it's dangerous for the busses to be out there, they aren't going to send the kids home on them ....

Haha it took me an hour and half to get home from school where it usually takes 10 min. Hopefully they will say no school tomorrow! :) The best thing about it is that only .5 inch to 1 inch fell.

An inch of snow and has not been above freezing for days. A blind monkey would have the common sense to either send out salt trucks or send the kids home at the first snowflake.

Unfortunately all we have are retarded blind monkeys in charge.

This is in North Carolina? The south just doesn't know how to handle snow.

Every since the big ice storm that caught us with our pants down, the governor set aside tons of sand and salt and requisitioned more snow plows...apparently though they are all invisible

The lone snow plow we have at work...plowing the empty road in the wrong direction...

Heaven forbid the kids miss one day of valuable instruction because of an unnecessary cancellation. Close schools only as a last resort.

Your kids are going to be safe, quit your bitchin. Damn it man. You'd be happier if some 8 dollar an hour half drunk poorly shaven bus driver ran your kids headon into a salt truck?
I'll go pick em up for Christ's sake.

We have morons here that have never driven in ice and snow and they are normally the first ones out when the roads get icy.

Apparently, no one told the DOT that there was ice on the road either...

The following incidents were found for Durham county

Description Road Location
Construction I-40 Durham / Mile Marker 269 to 280 Both Directions
Construction I-85 Mile Marker 177 Both Directions
Construction NC-55 Both Directions
Construction SR-2104 Slater Rd Both Directions

Combine ice, with road construction, with retarded drivers, with rush hour traffic, with people leaving home to go pick up their kids and you have :|

Don't have any kids and there is no way in hell they will step foot inside a government run "school"
