Local radio station's contest is a little absurd

One of our local radio stations is having a contest to "catch the rabbit" (the rabbit is their mascot). The idea is that the station gives out clues to the rabbit's location, and caller #10 has to correctly identify the location plus what the rabbit is doing.

The problem is with the fact that somebody at the radio station doesn't know anything about writing meaningful descriptive clues. Here is a sampling:
"The rabbit is in a place where he can see the sky"
"The rabbit is looking at something"
"The rabbit stops to take a breath of fresh air"

Last week's contest went on so long without a winner and the dj's were so exasperated that late Friday afternoon the clue was something like "The rabbit is in OhnsonJay ItyCay at the oviemay eaterthay"

lame, lame, lame

Just more proof that a DJ free format is the way to go. Screw morning shows, screw having idiot DJs laughing at their own stupid jokes, screw 6 minutes of music followed by 12 minutes of commercials and 10 minutes of talking.

A lot of local stations have basically gone all music, with very minimal advertising. Turns out if you don't have to pay a lot of hacks to talk for hours a day, you can still make a profit off of very little advertising income. Like, 55 minutes of music, and 5 minutes of advertising an hour.

But is the rabbit alive? How can we know where he is if we don't even know if he's alive?! Maybe by "stops to take a breath of fresh air" they metaphorically meant he died!

Like JackFM here in Minnesota! It's the only station I listen to anymore.

That came to mind for me too actually. I remember being told about it and laughing then realizing it was one of my hometown's radio stations.

We have a JackFM here in Chicago as well (and many other cities.) They were doing just fine with that all music no DJ's thing, but they just announced that they would be putting Steve Dahl on in the mornings 5:30-10. You would think with all the advertising that they do about there being no DJ's that they wouldn't turn around and hire one, but what can you do.

It's probably like that CharlieFM crap they have on the west coast (in Portland and Seattle anyway). Stupid homogenized Clearchannel garbage. They go from disco to hiphop to country and they never say what the songs are.

This is a real station. They play 90% music in the morning, and every DJ is actually into the music and knows what they're talking about.
