Anyone have this problem before? I cannot log in as administrator in Windows 2000 after installing music match 6 software that came with my burner. Says local policy denies this oporation. This happened after I rebooted. No response fomr MM yet, this is a serious problem so any help would be appreciated.

Did you try to use the Restore last known good configuration?

Please tell my you made an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD)? If not then I would go to another computer on a network, or set one up, and make it the name of your 2k computer. If you are lucky you will be able to log in remotely and work on it. I am not an expert on what you should do if you actually get the remote logon to work, but your security settings are jacked. If you don't have an ERD to restore your registry then you are SOL.

Your W2k cd has the emergency repair pgms. You have to proceed like an install and it will get to a point where you choose between repair or install. choose install! Just kidding.
After you choose REPAIR, you will need to know what to repair. I can't remember what it does after that, but you should be able to follow it.
Once repaired, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR REGISTRY AND DATE IT.
