My girlfriend was watching the news this evening, and they had a story about a pizza delivery guy who was assaulted and had his car stolen last night.

What it doesn't say in the article is that he basically had his head busted wide open, with plenty of stiches on top of his head. She thought he kind of looked familiar, and checked the receipt we had laying around from when we had pizza delivered this past Sunday night, and it had this guy's name on it as the delivery person. Sure enough, I remember his car from the description in the article. He worked for the Pizza Hut that is a 5 minute walk from my apartment.
On the news, he said he has been delivering pizzas for 7 years, but he's out of the pizza business for good now. Poor bastard, I wish I'd given him more than a $3 tip now 🙁. Kinda odd when something like this hits a little close to home. I'm not used to any kind of violence.
