Not the usual electronics stuff. But still a good deal!

Just came back from Niagara County produce in Western NY. They had 25 lb bags of onions for $2.99. And it wasn't because they were getting stale. The girl over there told me that all of them were from the new stock.

I usually get those for $2 - $3 for a 3lb bag.

Live right around the corner on Tonawanda Creek Rd.
Their prices in general have been going up for the last year.
Cold cuts still a good deal.

never been there - where is it located? is it better than the produce at the Super Flea on Walden on the weekends?

Also, if you're in the area, try the produce in Springville on Wednesdays in the summer and fall... I've picked up 50lb bags of onions and red potatoes for about that price. (although the price varies widely depending on how many morons are bidding on things during the auction portion.)

I've seen them have 200 bushels of sweet corn, and 40 people bidding, and some idiot will always bid it up to $10 a bushel and buy just one. Then the next village idiot bids it up to $7 or 8 and buys just one... and eventually, I'm stuck buying it in 5 bushel lots for $1 a bushel, just to get a bushel for $5 or less.

So, where is this place? What city/village/town? I'm up in that area often enough that I might want to check this place out.
