The National Weather Service In Portland Has Extended The
* Flash Flood Warning For... East Central Multnomah County In Northwest Oregon
* Until 545 PM PDT
* At 445 PM PDT...Trained Weather Spotters Reported An Area Of Flooding 6 Miles Southwest Of Corbett...Or About 9 Miles Northwest Of Sandy...Moving South Southeast At 75 Mph. Weather Spotters In The Area Has Reported Rainfall Amounts Of One Inch In 20 Minutes Producing Water Over One Foot Deep Near Division And Powell Streets In Gresham. Multnomah County Emergency Manager Reported Several Intersections Between 181st And Division To Burnside And Powell Have A Few Inches To 1.5 Feet Of Water. There Has Also Been Reports Of Flooding In A Home In The Gresham Area And A Report Of A Debris Flow Near Kerslake And Stark.

Excessive Runoff From Heavy Rainfall Will Cause Flooding Of Small Creeks And Streams...Highways And Underpasses. Additionally...Country Roads And Farmlands Along The Banks Of Creeks...Streams And Other Low Lying Areas Are Subject To Flooding.
It is fizzling out and cruising away now, as you can see in the latest radar loop. It's the areas of red above and east of the word Portland, for those of you that won't see the big deal.
It was only moving 20mph when it went through my area and then east in Gresham.
As you may or may not know, my brother has been staying with us for the last month or so.. He's staying outside in a tent(rather large, wireless internet and CATV.. it's all good), covered with a 30x30' tarp. It was raining so hard that the water was building up on the tarp before it could run off, and it was collapsing his tent.. lol
