Local Exchange server to download from SMTP/POP server

A client project I may be working on would require them to have a dial up connection as they are too far out for dsl/cable at this time and paying an ISP to run it just isn't feasable.

They don't need everyone to have internet access, but they would like email and have talked about MS Exchange.

I run a Mailenable SMTP/POP server, and thought about offering to setup a 'postoffice' to catch the mail for their users and then their (possible) Exchange box would download it via dial-up.

Will Exchange retreieve e-mail in a POP3 box on a remote server for its users? If so, I'm assuming I'd need a box for each user on my server due to BCC getting stripped off at the server. I'm also guessing I'd need to setup a scheduled task to do this every hour durring biz and every 3 hrs at night.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move mail between your office and theirs using smtp? You could have a set time that their server is supposed to be online and then configure yours to send at that time?

Problem I see with that is, dial-up doesn't usually get a static IP so it would be difficult to sent it. I don't want to have to configure anything special on my server. Their machine needs to do the work.

Dial-up, check mail box (or mail boxes), send any mail in local cue, hang up, deliver locally.
