Local autoupdate server for WindowsXP

Hey guys, windowsXP question for you.

Here at the Institute I work for, we're pondering a center-wide migration from WinNT4.0 to either Windows2000 or WindowsXP. One thing we spend entirely too much time on right now is keeping all our computers patched the same way, and we know that WindowsXP, at least, has full auto-update capacity. However, we'd like a little more control over the situation than blindly connecting to a random MS Update Server and downloading whatever patches it thinks we should have. Is there a way to change the XP AutoUpdate daemon so that it connects to a local server, where we can specify which patches are available for download?

Thanks in advance,
Mierdaan
