I know it's rough and has some room for improvement, but what do you think? It doesn't fill all styles, but I think she has a lot of talent and if she works at it - she may be able to go somewhere.

It's ok, pretty repetitive, but a decent hook. I hope she's not using this cut as a demo, though, cause it's pretty rough (digital piano, poorly balanced, voice sounds like it was recorded in the basement without trying to wake people upstairs up :)). It's decent though, with potential (to steal your adjective).

My .02 of course.

Thanks for your constructive criticism. As it was recorded in the basement, on a 50 dollar recorder and I used a tape to line in on my PC.

No problem. I used to write/record pop and rock songs before going purely classical. I understand working with cheap equipment and recording in less-than-ideal spaces. :)
