Hi Guys,

I'm trying to make the company I work for use Plextor as the one manufacturer for CDRWs....but my higher ups want proof they're the best (obviously they're not fellow Anandtechors).....Please let your thoughts about Plextor CDRW drives be known here, and if you have any review showing they're the best, please link them!....Thanks for all the support in adavance.

I have a Plextor and it's fine. But, I have friends with other CD-Rs that are also fine. I'd write specs that would include Burnproof and adequate support and then go with whoever gave me the best deal if I were in business. I'd probably spec Nero, too.

Here's the review at cdrinfo.

Plextor's name is connected with quality and maximum performance under all circumstances.

I would push for Plextor and settle on Lite-On if they resist, the Lite-On is clearly the better value and I'm guessing your employees aren't going to be hardcore CDR users (or you wouldn't have to convince them to get Plextor.)

Thanks!...that review was great......please keep it coming...I could use all the help I can get.

Little info about the company I work for, we deal w/ Industrial Automation so quality is a very large issue. I'd rather use Plextor at the higher price if it will ensure less RMA returns and because my main vendor (Ingram Micro) consistantly stocks over 2000 pieces. I know going with them will be less hassle for both sides (me and our customers)

Again, THANK YOU FELLOW ANANDTECHORS!

Get Lite-On drives. They're much lower in cost, just as feature rich and dependable. Dell seems to think Lite-Ons are quality drives.
