I have been running windows XP on my older PC for a while. I have the retail version of XP home. I just put together a new system and I want to load XP on this new system. Is this legal with microsoft? Will I have to erase XP off the old system first?

Retail versions can legally be loaded on any one machine at a time. You'll need to blank the old box; but then you'll be set to go.
