Loading the forums is making my I.E 5.01 crash now...

I think i know what the cause of the crashes are but i am not sure or even know how to go about fixing it. I ran ad-aware to look for spyware on my system and it found doubleclick cookies and so i deleted them. now whenever i try to load up the forums it goes haywire on me, it seems to load the page fine but near the end its going screwy when its loading the banners i think?... im very sorry, i dont know how to really describe it. it basically freezes my IE and i have to manually close it with END NOW in win2k pro. I really dont see how deleting those cookies could cause this but it started happening around the same time...

I can tell you that these forums do not use doubleclick as there ad provider. may I ask why you have yet to upgrade to IE 5.5? what OS are you using?

put your cursor over the very bottom banner...it looks like doubleclick, i could be mistaken. and as to why i dont use ie 5.5 generally i dont upgrade anything unless its broke or its a major improvement, i tend to stay out of trouble that way.

uh, last time I installed 5.5 it ran slower, crashed more often, and displayed pages incorrectly.

5.1 is better.
