loading ISO in win vista

daemon 4 doesnt work in vista. 🙁

Slysoft's virtual clonedrive works great!
but now, i cant use Nero nor can i use dvdshrink to reauthor ISO. Dvdshrink works fine with discs or vob files, but it cant read from Slysoft's virtual drive.

what are you using for loading ISO in vista?

The Freeware version of Alcohol 52% works fine in Vista.

What is handy about it is that it allows you to make your own images as well, where Daemon tools just lets you mount, alcohol lets you do both!

alcohol 52%. just make sure you uninstall the IE toolbar. its easy/fast to uninstall the toolbar btw.

Latest version (iirc) has a checkbox in the installer's forms that you can uncheck to force the toolbar to never install in the first place.

Update: does not work fine on a limited account. No longer use or recommend it for Vista 🙂

this is really strange... i uninstalled slysoft virtual clonedrive and nero.
reinstalled nero and it is working normal again.
reinstalled virtual clonedrive and i didnt see a virtual drive as before
installed alcohol as you suggested, but still no virtual drive
intalled daemon for vista, but still nothing. wow!

im ok now 🙂

looking at my device manager, a question mark showed up on my virtual drive. all i had to do was update the driver and the virtual drive was recognized as a cd player and was assigned a drive letter.

I believe daemon tools works fine for a friend of mine thats using it
