Anyone else have this problem? If I uninstall the newest IAA, DMA shows back up for the primary and secondary IDE controllers in the device manager. How freggin odd....

It's enabled. It doesn't show in Windows since its not using the MS IDE drivers. Run the IAA program from the start menu. It will show what DMA mode each drive is in.

Isn't this kind of like (or maybe exactly like) other motherboards bus master driver. Usually when you install the bus master driver, it does the same exact thing. The option to enable DMA goes away, but is enabled if capable.

It's enabled.

Intel deliberately removes the Advanced Settings tab when the IAA is installed. You are expected to make changes through the IAA Configuration utility.

Install glitch. It happens sometimes....Intel is aware of it and they say they have fixed it but obviously it still crops up.
