I have a problem... a really big one.. I have one of the first released ps2's ( I got it the first day ) I didnt open it till about 2 months after I purchased it because I thought I was gonna be able to sell it and make some profit.. unfortunately I am a lazy ass so I put it off and didnt end up selling it.. So one day I decided to open it and watch a dvd I had laying around.. everything went well but I recall one time during the movie it just froze up, so I had to restart the ps2. I didnt think much of it and just left it alone. Later I purchased another dvd and decided to watch it and the ps2 wouldnt read the dvd on the first try .. So now im thinking my ps2 is fuked up.. but I thought to myself I guess its only dvds that are having problem..
I ended up selling it to a friend but he gave it back to me cause he said it was having problems loading games on the first try .. also mentioned that the games were repeatedly freezing up on him..
I tried calling there tech support.. but they only warrant it for 3 months.. which I cannot believe; I think its ridiculous how such a reputable co. can offer such a crappy warranty. Sony has made a big name in the electronic industry but I dont think ill ever go w/ a sony product in the future..
anyhow does anyone know what I can do? should I rip the ps2 apart .. maybe there is a lose connection somewhere? Please advise me.. Thank you.
