Staples has a loaded Lenovo laptop on sale this week. It has almost every option you might want to have including Bluetooth and a biometric fingerprint reader. It also comes with Vista Premium. The only downside is it comes with a Core Duo CPU, not a Core 2 Duo.

The price is $824.98 - $225 easy rebate = $599.98 AR.

I don't know if there is a coupon to make this deal hotter. As far as I know, the easy rebate does not involve scissors, envelopes or stamps.

The deal is B&M only. They might not have the laptop in stock everywhere, but it can be ordered in store. If the link below does not work, check page 4 of this week's circular.

? Intel® Core? Duo Processor T2250
? 1GB RAM
? 120GB hard drive
? 15.4" wide-screen display
? Integrated camera ? Bluetooth® enabled
? DVD±RW double-layer drive
? Built-in security with biometric fingerprint reader
? Windows Vista? Home Premium
? One button system recovery

Oh that's pretty tempting...

BTW for those who care, the processor is a 1.73Ghz Core on a 533Mhz FSB.

The FSB is a little slower than I'd like but the different probably isn't so drastic that it'd ever matter.

Just wish it had a higher rez screen...I'm spoiled by years at 1680x1050. And taxes are kinda harsh but not that huge of a deal (especially since my brother lives in New Hampshire lol).

The ad is regional.

Not in the ad for VA

.com is showing OOS

as a result cannot be ordered from store either.

What are the resolutions on 15.4" these days?

Without knowing anything about the laptop, I'd probably guess 1280x800. The higher end 15.4" LCDs can have up to 1680x1050.

The fine print under the price in the ad says:

"This product may not be available in all stores, but can be ordered in store for delivery. While supplies last."

My guess is they have extra stock in warehouses but will not be getting anymore from the manufacturer. Additionally, they want to lure you into a store and thus disallow online or phone orders. I don't work for Staples, so I am just guessing.
