Instead of buying a ~$250 "aluminum adjustable length scaffold" from Little Giant for use as a scaffold floor, I believe cutting a 3/4" sub-floor grade piece of plywood into 3 pieces ~ 18"x 96" and bolting the three pieces together to form a ~ 2" thick plank 18" x 96" end supported by two stepladders should work fine. Am I right??
I weigh over 260 lb. and can't find any info on the subject. The Little Giant can be broken up to form two stepladders. If this works, I can unbolt the "2" plank" and carry it in my minivan along with the Little Giant ladder when I drive to my summer home. Saving ~ $150 wouldn't hurt either. I don't think the Little Giant scaffold will fit in my minivan.
Any comments or suggestions in this area would be welcomed. Thanks,

Definitely glue the layers together in addition to bolting; will be much stronger. Use something like Loctite PL 3X that's rated for a subfloor so it has some flexibility when cured.
