lo and behold

Interesting... just too expensive... you can get 2 x 7800GT's for approx $640 & 2 x 7800GTX's for approx $900... hopefully prices will drop though.

"before prices skyrocket!"

Wow, thanks they mentioned, I'm taking two! There at only $ 900, a bargain... I mean, I can only buy 3 regular 7800GT's for that price, so...

It is the fastest single card, so it will cost. I personally don't see the difference in having this or 7800GT SLI till quad sli drivers come out, but they definitely fall in the "cool hardware that would be fun to have" niche.

No, those were others... I believe that Asus made a Dual 6800GT that way, and GigaByte a Dual 6600GT... Either way, no Dual 7800GT's yet...

When are quad SLI drivers expected?

im still waiting for dual GTX 512's in sli. im also still waiting for something as impressive as the voodoo 5.

I guess the only advantage is having an external power supply in case your internal power supply isn't up to the task of powering SLI.

I kind of wish Tom's review had used 2 x GTX 512 and 1 dual 7800 card as well in the benches. It would give an approximate amount of horsepower it has compared to a similar price point and also for the 1 card solution for people with single slot x16 machines.

Hehe Whatever the case, it's in stock.. buy them while you can 😉
