I have satellite TV. I have a normal, standard-def set top box. The coax cable comes from the dish (from the LNB, technically) to the box.

Right underneath the input (LNB IN) there's another threaded F-connector that says "LNB OUT."

What is this? Is it just a pass-thru from the LNB? Is it a decoded signal? What's it used for?

LNB OUT is for connection to a second receiver (can tune in different channel than first receiver--but must be same polarity).
