ATTBI has such crazy customers sometimes that I have to attend a class to learn about them. LOL - first it was training on how to work the tools and the computer, then it's training on how to work the customer :p

Looks like I'll be going to a five-hour training class this afternoon. They gonna teach me how to deal with customers who get really pissed at the littlest things, threaten to blow up my house, threaten to kill me or someone else, threaten to commit suicide if their service isn't fixed, etc. And, yes, we get those. I haven't had the suicide call yet, but I've had all the others. :D

I guess it's a bad thing to threaten them right back? Oh well. I get to get off the phones and listen to some WACKY calls. Screw learning about how to deal with them, I just wanna hear some of these people's reactions :D :D :D

I've got the same job, different ISP....I think my favorite was the woman who just started ranting and got into how we were selling drugs (???) before I ended the call.

Btw, I must say that ATTBI has the more pleasant,helpful support staff, MSN has the worst imho

Sounds to me like someone needs to start recording the convo's with a little recorder then convert to .mp3 so we can enjoy them too :D

i can speak for msn tech, they are teh suq! i hate them, i think a lot of the tech's don't even know what they are doing, half the stuff they say is things they "copy and paste" i even asked a tech if it was copy and paste and he said yes.

I gotta tell ya, a couple of the most frustrating afternoons of my life have been spent on
the phone trying to get Help from MSN for people,I hate to praise AOL but in terms of helpdesk
support they even get higher marks from me than MSN does,the script readers at least
recognise quickly when they need to escalate a call.

When you express that you don't care or don't react the way they want you to react, it can turn into "okay, I can't kill myself to get this guy to do something, I'll try killing someone else"

When someone's that emotionally unstable, you have to be careful because you might directly effect someone else's (other than the customer) chances at surviving the day. People do go nuts, folks.

I'm proof :D

Dude! I have a problem with my internet. It wont connect. Someone told me that my floppy drive is bad, is it? It just plain doesn't log on! Isn't there some sort of setting that I can change to get my internet working again? A friend told me that I might have a virus and that I should reinstall windows, how do I do that?

I'm having lots of trouble with my ISP i was supposed to have DSL three months ago....i'm still waiting, every month i have to call and have them remove charges for me using dialup for more than 20 hours a month(part of having dsl is that restriction......bah)
