didn't realise projectors were relatively cheap now. About £500.
How about hooking up something like an nforce 2 board (good onboard video/sound) , to a nice size HDD and a decent DVD RW drive, and putting the output of this through a projector.
Doesn't even need a case. Just a mbd with the right drives & psu attached to it.
Result is a player that can read anything, looks novel, super powerful software for playback purposes (xp), and a screen the size of my living room wall.
