LL Bean dropping its lifetime return policy

I wonder if the old purchases are grandfathered in.

Another company changing their overgenerous return policy due to unsavory people abusing and taking advantage of the policy. LL Bean suffered $250 million loss the past 5 years from people returning "destroy quality" expired items. That's ridiculous.
Sounds like a dumb policy to have anyway. "My great grandma bought this dress 100 years ago, and it's not in style anymore. I'd like to return it."

Yet it worked for ~100 years til modern entitled cµnts got a hold of it.

Without internet exposure of jackasses abusing the policy, thus encouraging more asses, LLBean would have been fine and wouldn't have had change anything.

Ya know... if LL Bean's fleece lined slippers weren't made so poorly, my wife wouldn't have to return them every 2 years for a new pair.

For how much they cost, they should last a decade.

Performance Bicycle also use to have a lifetime warranty, they switched to one year a while ago.
