so you almost bought a Porsche or Vette, but ended up with a POS Ford because you wouldn't be able to haul around your friends?!?!? Are you frickin kidding me? I can understand if you wanted the Cobra if you were a Ford guy, but you turned down two better cars because of the slight possibility that one of your friends would have to drive his beater when you all went out? That's freakin insane!

He's a people-pleaser. He cares more about thinking that he is making other people happy than himself.

I would think a mod would know better than to bring a 7-month-old thread back from the dead for a comment like that. 😉

As others have said, it's not really an issue. I had a 2000 Trans Am WS6 before my Z06, and I never used the back seats at all. It only meant I had more area to possibly get dirty and have to clean up. Personally, I like only having two seats because it gets me out of driving duty to a lot of places. This is more of a pro now that gas prices keep going up, but it always was nice. If I ever need to haul anything, I have a 1/2 ton pick-up truck that is mainly used for my winter vehicle.

Yes, there are situations where having room is helpful, but I rarely find myself in them. I couldn't be happier with my decision to get my Corvette.

Fuck, I ride a motorcycle most of the time.

A two seater would be a step up.

I do have a Nissan Maxima and a Lexus IS250 at home if I need to travel with the family. Most of my driving is commuting though so the motorcycle serves that purpose quite well. I wouldn't mind adding a Lotus Elise to my stable at some point though.

I have to admit this debate is part of why I ended up in my Mustang. I've come to realize though that:

1) I very, very rarely have more than 2 people in the car.
2) The back seat is essentially useless even for my 5'3 g/f

My next car I'll just do away with the back seat entirely.

Viper GTS

2 Seat works just fine for me. It does kinda suck with kids, but that's what the boring cars are for. 🙂

When I had my GTO, I always had to haul people around at lunch or when we went out. It seems that all of the sedan owners would have two child seats in the back. The GTO has about as much room in the back as my CTS.

I'm not seeing a problem here. You get to drive your sports car, and other people waste the gas driving to IHOP or whatever.

I considered getting a used 350Z. But how the hell would I drive in the snow? How would I go camping in that thing? How could I travel with luggage or drive somewhere with friends? As a daily driver, it made no sense.

Very rarely do I have a problem with driving a two-seater as it is usually myself and my son, or a friend. If I need more seats I'll either ride with a friend or dust off the Explorer. To give you an idea how often this happens I have driven the Explorer about 100 miles so far this year. If I ever remarry I could see having my two seater, a four seater for her, and the Explorer / truck, suv, for utility needs.

Just me, my Miata and my Suzuki DL650 V-Strom.

The only time I've needed anything bigger was when I moved and rented a mid-size U-haul.
