Living with multiple Macs, any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks to Compusa going out of business I now have two brand new Macs sitting on my desk.

An iMac and a MacBook.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to make them work together and share libraries and the like?

I plan on taking the MacBook with me on vacations and the like and downloading my photos into it and then upon returning move those files over to the desk top. So it would be really nice to have a way to sync up iPhoto or Aperture libraries without having to do a lot of manual file moving myself.

And does anyone else with multi Mac have any neat ideas or suggestions to help me get the most out of my set up?
