Volkswagen claims W12-powered Phaetons will go from 0 to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds, which is not bad considering the car weighs 5101 pounds.

Damn.

That 0-to-60-mph time and weight are for the short-wheelbase models, so we would expect slight changes for the long-wheelbase cars

Wow, talk about a pig.

Fuel mileage is estimated at about 15 mpg combined city/highway driving

Eh that's just pathetic.

I also love how at the first of the article they talk about it being "$60,000". Then at the bottom you read this

"a V8-powered Phaeton should sticker at about $60,000, approximately $10,000 less than a Mercedes S430 or BMW 740iL. Opt for the W12, and the price rises about $15,000 (estimated), well below the $115,000 base price for the S600 from Stuttgart."

I wonder how slow the v8 is compaired to the v12!!!! Especially at such a high weight.

Definitely a nice ride. I like it.

BUT, who is gonna buy it? That's the true test....

I wouldn't fork over that kinda dough for a VW, I'd rather get a decked out Passat and save the rest.
