I decided to have a few Jack and Cokes so I went to the liquor store and their is a sign outside saying they are remodeling and it is closed. The state of Utah owns all liquor stores here so the closest one is 20 minutes away in the next town so I drive there. There is a sign outside of it when I get there saying open 10am-7pm everyday except Sunday. WTF??? A liquor store closing at 7pm on a Saturday? Fu@k utah and their bullsh!t liquor stores and laws.

Now I'm have to dink crappy 3.2% beer from the grocery store.

I'm bootlegging my booze from Nevada from now on.

Yeah, Utah Mormons have a thing against booze. The Mormon Church has a tight control over the state government, or so I've heard ;).

Nope, by law all beer here has to be 3.2% at the max unless you buy it at the state ownen liquor store. (then you pay an arm and a leg for it)

Hahahaha, that's freaking horrible. Between the girlie drinks (zima, coolers, etc) and some of the beers you guys are missing like half of the alcohol available. So sorry :p

Actually a lot of Beer makers make beer specific for Utah with less alcohol.

I wondered about that and was going to ask if they did that but upon reflection that seemed sort of impractical for them to do. Beings as I doubt your state has a large drinking population that is. Eh, learned something new I guess though.

But, they don't have any laws against having large families. I guess there is a link between not drinking and have *more* sex. :p :p :p

I llive in CT, where until 19 days ago you could not buy carry out alcohol of any kind after 8 pm Monday through Saturday and none on Sunday and holidays! Now you can buy beer et al until 9 pm Monday through Saturday.

I was lucky I lived ten minutes from NY......
