Sounds like the plot from The Stupids.

I check the police blotter to see which people from my graduating class have been arrested lately. Last one I recall was a moron that got busted for having sex with an underage girl while he was stationed here in town with the Army.

Funneh not found. It seems unlikely that a man reported "garbagemen" for collecting his garbage in the expected manner.

A town may not have a law which forbids taking items put out for disposal (so may not technically be stealing) however it still remains a legitimate privacy concern. In any case, some people understandably do not expect their garbage to be picked through. One can also expect a waste company forbidding employees from taking items for personal use while on the job anyway so even if the home owner recognized the garbagemen as same it could still be a legitimate concern worthy of reporting to the proper authorities.

Yesterday I seen one, something about someone called the police because a neighbor was throwing snow in their yard.

A few days ago, I seen one where someone called in around 7am to notify the police that there was a vehicle running in a driveway. Huh, ya know maybe they are warming up their vehicle before work...

Yes, I live in a small town.

Funniest police report I have seen was for stolen cereal and milk. Apparently someone gained entry to a home without causing damage and ate some cereal and milk in a bowl. Nothing else was stolen, nothing was broken, but the person was out some cereal and milk. I wish I had sent the story to Jay Leno's headlines.

Anyone else notice that oldsmoboat himself put 'not funny' in one of his own threads?

I remember a Jay Leno Headline that made mention of robbers approaching a store with weapons, one of them had a rolling pin.

That's because people who don't understand oldsmoboat's law try to invoke it in inapropriate times.

Heh. I had the 'snow on my property' call last week...and a 'vehicle (school bus) running in a driveway' 2-3 weeks ago.

Must be a northern thing. :p
