I could not stand it to be that cold all the time. I would set the house on fire to get warm.

pay $1000+ in hospital bills because you and your 'woman' got sick :)

smart move :)
sometimes being cheap doesn't really pay off.

Those temperatures won't make you sick.

temperature doesnt make you sick, but cold weather can induce it more than warm weather

Temperatures can and will make you sick. Ever heard of hypothermia?

oh yeah...thats true. i forgot about that...i meant like temperatures that you could get a house to, not like falling in a lake in the winter.

ill swallow the pride this time and admit you were right.

edit: but i wasnt totally wrong, i just didnt give any details regarding my point :(

50?

Jeez, my cousin's girlfriend complains if it's 78.

"Why is it always 20 degrees in here?!"

Then her head starts to spin, and...

Oh... sorry...

I use to live in an apartment, and my electricity bills are always less than $15.00. Because, majority of my time was spending at school & work, therefore I showers there. And, I have the heat off because it is always is too hot?the neighbors are old folks that always have their heat cranks.

Find an apartment that include hydro or one that have good insulation.

Where do you live in West Lafayette? I used to live in the Waterfront Apartments. Used to pay a lot for electric too because heating was central(electric) and we had electric stove. It was a 3 bedroom apartment. Highest bill ever was around $250. Found out our vent had a hole. Made the landlord people pay for our bill but they didn't want to. We turned down the heat and wore more clothes and used small room heaters. Saved about $100. Kind of sucked.

Of course, we had 3 roommates. One always turned it down to 60 Fah to save electric and another wanted it at 85 Fah. They kept changing the thermostat.
