Liveware + win2k + MP3 running = crash?

I've been trying to put up with this for a couple months, and it really drove me insane the other day cuz I lost my 6 page paper. Anyone else have this trouble? I have Win2k Pro on a AMD Thunderbird 800 w/ an SB Live Value and I've tried it with Winamp and Musicmatch Jukebox. And they both crash. I was thinking it was the MP3 codec, but winamp uses their own nullsoft codec. So it can't be that. anyways, give me your input.
 
I'm runing Win2k pro on a PIII 650e w/ SB Live and no problems at all with winamp. Have you upgraded your sb live drivers for win2k?
