I'm trying to install a Live on a system with a fresh install of win98se and I get two errors.

First it says that the "uninstaller failed to initialize, you may not be able to uninstall the program". It does that a couple of times and then when it starts to copy the files I get an error message that says there is not enough space on the target drive.

There is about 6GB free on the system,
I've pointed the install to the C: drive manually,
I've tried re-downloading LiveWare,
I've reinstalled windows.

The system is a K6-2/350, 64MB RAM, some old i740 video card, 6.4GB HDD.

Any ideas? I've installed liveware about a hundred times and never run into this before and I'm losing my mind!!!

TIA

did you install the earlier version of liveware that originally came with your card first? I believe that you have to do this before you run the LW3 program or else you get the out of space errors. also clear out your windows temporary folder before you start! :)

You also may want to try copying the CD to the hard drive and installing from safe mode. I also have found that you need to start with the original CD and then upgrade from there.

Hmm, guess I'll try from the original CD. I don't recall ever doing that before, but I also can't remember what I had for dinner last night.
