Well... The Trump campaign would be responsible for paying but they haven't paid a lot of cities yet for hundreds of thousands they owe...

It was rhetorical, which was why I didn't even pose it as a question. I already knew who is financially responsible which is the point of my comment.

See this is why I have to stop posting at work. Everything there is so literal! I forget sarcasm exist sometimes...

rofl, dream on.

A civil war is unlikely, but remember: Trump has half-joked more than once about having more than two terms, and launched a bogus investigation into voter fraud because he couldn't stand knowing that he lost the popular vote. It's not clear that he'll bow out with any dignity if he's either voted out in 2020 or hits his term limit.

Mind you, I'd also be worried if I were in his position, since he's probably going to face state charges (and possibly federal) the millisecond he's out of office. Assuming he lives long enough, he'll probably spend his last years in prison.

It's also a sentiment the alt-right has been expressing.

Scary isn't it. His base is dumb enough to want him to.

Trump's relationship with most of his supporters involves their experiencing a form of Stockholm Syndrome where they sympathize with their oppressor, the Great Pumpkin of Greed of whom his supporters don't even realize what they're suffering from or refuse to believe it when confronted with it.

Time and again Trump has purposefully sought and achieved his own personal goal of enriching himself and his fellow wealthy aristocrats at the expense of those very folks who voted him into office. He even has them believing that taking away the health care they got with the passage of the ACA is somehow good for them because he promised them he would replace it with "something so much better" but never ever explained in detail what that replacement program included.

He has victimized his followers over and over again and they like it, they crave for it so badly that they want to be victimized by him for another four years.

I don't know what new meds they are feeding Donald but something has toned him down since that rally.
First, he refused to bomb bomb bomb Iran. Put life ahead of killing. Spared some 150 Iranians. Wonder if they will ever know how close those 150 came to being blown away?
Then, we have Trump reversing himself on Sundays scheduled rounding up and deporting of illegals.
And it was reported Trump changed his mind after a phone call from Nancy Pelosi. Go figure....

Frankly, I think America would love to see a more down to earth Donald Trump.
A more calmed Donald Trump.
A thicker skinned Donald Trump.
An adult Donald Trump.
If Donald could control himself a bit more as he seems to have done these last few days, I think Donald could actually get re-elected. I think people not a fan of Trump could hold their nose and vote for Donald if Donald could only continue this toned down public side. Everything that Trump dislikes doesn't need to become some drama queen tissy fit.
Donald.... if you want to be liked outside of your limited base, calm down a little.
Act human.
Kinda like you have been these last few days.
And if its your new meds, for everyones sake don't dare miss a dose. o_O

They took him off/lowered his testosterone and Viagra medication. I think Republicans tend to use both in high doses. That would explain a lot.

He reversed himself on the Sunday roundup because ICE would not be able to roundup millions of immigrants.

He was probably counting on having the help of the PD's in aiding in the roundup.

He reversed himself on the ICE roundup because JR Mint informed him that it would negatively effect Trump businesses.

Like African killer bees. Hyper-reactive toward any threat to their nest and especially so toward their orange "Queen" of whom they constantly fed royal jelly to make "her" what "she" is at the moment. Everything for the "Orange Queen", of whom gives nothing back to the hive.

Too bad that "she" is barren though.

Let's be honest, It wasn't about the concern for the 150 lives. I think someone got in his ear at the last minute which is how all decisions seem to be made, and reminded him he campaigned against getting into wars. Remember summer 2017 Trump and Nancy Pelosi made a deal on live TV on immigration reform which also gave Trump 25B for his wall. Trump later reneged.

Donny Deutsch has a theory just like yours, Trump could see his assholeness being a liability and convert closer to normal to get mode centrist voters.

A civil war is unlikely, but remember:

I actually think at this point a second civil war is inevitable. We have been driven further and further apart politically. We now view the 'other side' as the enemy. All it is going to take is someone doing something stupid. Once that starts I'm afraid it will be a fire that will not be easy to put out.

Trump had to bus people in from all over the state to almost fill an arena in FL. What's the rest of his "rallies" gonna look like? It's gonna cost him a bunch to bus people in every state this election season.
His "message" is exactly the same this time around as it was in 2016, only one name will eventually be changed in his rantings.

He's failed to deliver on his biggest promise (in his supporters eyes), The Wall. His only legislative achievement is the wealthy tax cuts. Areas that caused him to win in 2016 are not faring better economically, in some cases they're worse off. I think he's in real trouble unless the Democrats chose the wrong candidate (which is a real possibility).

Oh, please. Talking shit & doing shit are entirely different things, particularly in Trumpworld.

Words have a tendency to lead to action. You talk enough shit and eventually someone takes you seriously and does something about it. Look at what is going on in Oregon right now. While that is mostly the news being hyperbolic it puts it in peoples heads that if you don't agree with a decision you can lay siege to the capital. How long until some 'militia' decides to do that for real? How long before some member of one of those militias are actually competent to use their firearm and does some real damage? What happens when Fox News then runs the story that the Democrats killed a Republican for disagreeing with them?

The only answer to threats of violence is *We will not be intimidated*. Period.
