Live TA vs BBR stats

can you work hp into there too? it'd be kinda cool to have a view of how quickly we're catching them 🙂

Edit: oh yeah, thanks for the work, your page is really cool

Thats an interesting idea...
I might put it up when i get back from my dads on Monday 🙂
(Gives me a little time to clean up the code aswell 😱😛)

Good work. 😀

Looking forward to see what you eventually produce. Sure wish those servers could handle the load better than they seem to be doing lately. 😉

Yeah, they are not the best 😕
I programmed the script so it only downloads the first .5-1kb of the team pages to try to minimize server loading 🙂

Coolkid, the idea is great, but there is one flaw, maybe not apparent right now, but could be later on. I would reccomend having it only refresh the stats every 5 minutes or so. If you get 10 people staying at your page and have their browser set to refresh every minute, that's 10 processes a minute which requires each one to get the stats, process, and send back. Again, right now it's fine, but maybe to futureproof the scripts.

Very nice Coolkid.......... 😎
I've already saved it to my fav.'s

Thanks for spending the time.........😉😀

This is as bad as baseball for stats................I love it. 😛

Failed to get stats (Berkeley reported: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error )
Retrying in 5 seconds...

Pfft, even I could have coded this.

😛

😉

Nice job though, I just wish I had checked it when the seti stats server wasn't being stupid.

Without looking at his design, I think what he is saying is that the page will load once per manual load or refresh. If the first attemp fails it will try again every 5 seconds to get the data until it does. After it gets the data you have to manually refresh again.

Thanks alot! Definantly added to my favorites.

Evedently more and more stats sites are being created therefore overloading the Berkely main stats server (didnt they get a 100mbit connection?). But I still think that you should keep it up to the second instead of every minute.

I just added the page as an active desktop element, and it looks great.

Edit: just a suggetion, maybe you could have it auto refresh every 5 minutes or so, and add a timestamp?

Very Nice Coolkid.

I didn't realize we caught up neck and neck in membership. Also pretty much the same in output now as well.

Yes, it only refreshes automatically if it fails to get the stats.

I've thought about it, but probably wont impliment it due to the above reason.

Ok, been experimenting with the graphs and stuff, have a look here: http://coolkid.no-ip.com/setistats/graph/graph.php (hosted on my 56k connection at the moment, so it will be pretty slow)
Having a bit of a problem with the flaky berkeley servers messing up the stats, thats why there are quite a few spikes on the graphs, but hope to work that out tomorrow 🙂

Ok, I just updated the stats page, now instead of bringing up a failed message and retrying after 5sec, it displays the stats from the last successful stats pull 🙂
Going to try and work on the graphs a bit more now, hopefully I can make them a bit more reliable 🙂

Nice job, CoolKid! I have appreciated all the stats pages. (Unfortunately at 8:00 PM CST, it looks like BBR is doing a bit more production!) Oh well...I have at least 5 WU stockpiled to unload tomorrow.

Probably not a reason to uncork the champagne just yet.....😉
