Live Streaming Question

I know this isn't really PC Gaming but I figured some people on here have livestreamed before.

I just started live streaming my attempt at the WoW Ironman Challenge. Being boring and uninteresting not to mention paying attention to leveling I have been streaming with some friends on vent to keep viewers interested. I am having the issue of delays in their commentary.

As it stands now I'm using Virtual Audio Cable to mix my mic input with my speaker output, which includes some music playing low and my friends chatting on vent, then using SCFH DSF and FLME to stream it all together to my twitch.tv account.

The problem is my friends are watching the stream and by the time they see what happens and talk about it theres essentially double the delay on what they are saying.

Would using something like Skype to chat with them and stream directly to them work better? Can you think of anyway to remove this double delay issue in the audio with just free software?
