Studies on mice have shown that a super low calorie, but nutritionally adequate diet doubled their lifespan. If the effect was the same on humans, it'd be the equivalent of living to nearly 150 years. I think such a scenario actually lengthens every physical stage of your life, IE you look like you are 20 for alot longer and you don't actually spend the last 50 years as supergramps.

Now, this brings the question of, would you being willing to give up a lifetime of good dining in exchange for living to nearly 150 years?

Hmmm...double the life span you say? Well, I'm 21 right now so I'm gonna say no...ask me in fifty years and I might have a different answer though ;)

seeing as how much I love food, I would much rather eat well and die by the age of 40 than eat healthy food and/or eat less and live longer... I mean, what is there to live for if not food? :)

Doesn't eating well mean you get the stuff your body needs to be healthy and live long as well??? :)

Or are you talking eating junk?

Well I eat like once a day (if that), and I'm 23 but look about 12, so maybe you're onto something. :)

Eat well, die early. that way your eating skills don't deteriorate to the point where she only remembers the end where you ate badly. ;)

From a human's perspective living to any age would seem more or less equal, because it's all within our perceived reality. It's hard to explain, but no matter how long you live, relatively speaking, a lifetime is a lifetime. So go for quality over quantity!
