Live in Socal. Short Vacation for 4-6 days. Any recommendations?

Besides San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Vegas... where else would be a nice place to have a short little vacation at?

I'd probably go camping in Yosemite if I lived there. or go into the desert. Something like that.

to camp in yosemite expect to make a reservation about 8 months to a year in advance. My sister was telling me from the time it opens up for a season, you have about 5 minutes to make the reservation before everything is all filled up.

Sequoia - stay at Wuksachi lodge.

Then when you are done hiking and communing with the giant trees, go pamper yourself at either Ojai or SB on the way back home (I assume you are not going alone).

I should have figured that.. yeah. Too many people in CA, I guess. Must be somewhere else to camp in the mountains, though?

4-6 days, it's unreasonable to extend it any farther than 1 or 2 cities.

i could easily spend 6 days in just LA.

getty is a full day. LA Museum of natural history is a full day. Griffith Park is a few hours. La Brea tarpits is a few hours. walking around venice boardwalk is a couple hours, santa monica pier is an hour or 2... get dinner at swingers....

I just realized I read that wrong. you meant 4-6 days in 1 location, i guess.

Hey yeah I meant 4-6 days at one location. I might just stay and go to disneyland (with park hopper) then do some novice camping at a local campsite somewhere... Big bear maybe?

They have hiking, biking, beach, snorkaling, boat riding, para sailing... or just people watch.
