This is scary.The fbi Has been doing this for TWO YEARS and is only now getting reviewed by Congress as to there legal status to read your Email. Earlier in the testimony,they stated they are looking at all emails.If you say B-O-M-B in your email,you fall under there scrutiny. Simply Amazing!!

Since I've been watching it seems like most of the panel is grilling the FBI and is against the Carnivore project in general. Good.

The FBI is now exposed,and don't confuse this judiciary panel posture as derogatory to the fbi.In some instances(as Barrs last statements)it is political grandstanding. I have watched this for 2 hrs,and It scares hell out of me. An ISP that doesn't comply and help the FBI invade your email can be subject to inprisonment. This is all without precedent setting law.

Now take that number and multiply it by the number of e-mails sent every day.

Who's got a computer fast enought to do that - without disrupting the normal flow of communication?

I can't fathom how they think this will be effective.
