Live!Drive or Extigy or alternative

I was intersted in getting something along the lins of the live!drive or extigy, primarily becasue I would like to use the drive to have easier access to my audio line to make my minidisc recordings. Any pro/cons on them or any preferences out there. (I am not a staunch supporter of creative, so other brands are ok, I just need that front connectivity) Oh yeah, keep cost in mind, I am not going to be buying something that over 300 for just this added conveince.

The best cheap alternative to the Audigy/Live with Audigy/LiveDrives is the Hercules Gaming Theater XP IMO. Very nice sound quality, has many features, good gaming performance, and above all has external connectivity. It's only bested by the Audigy Platinum which is about twice as expensive.
