Another Wednesday brings more games to the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. This week's additions are highlighted by the first episode in a reboot of an Amiga classic and a Live Arcade version of a puzzle/strategy game released for Windows. Along the way, a holiday song for Lips and a holiday theme from Banjo-Kazooie developers Rare was released as well.
Alien Breed: Evolution Episode 1 is a top-down shooter set on a damaged spaceship infected by an alien species. The developers promise five hours of gameplay in each of the planned three episodes. Alien Breed: Evolution Episdoe 1 is available for 800 MS Points ($10) but you can download a free trial game to try it before you decide to buy it.
Puzzlegeddon was released last year as a downloadable title for Windows PCs. This puzzle/strategy game has you matching three of a kind blocks on both the horizontal and vertical axis of a board to launch attacks against online and computer-controlled competitors. Puzzlegeddon is available for 800 MS Points ($10). A free trial game is available as well.
For those in the holiday mood, Lips has added the classic Dean Martin version of "Silver Bells" for you to sing along with for 160 MS Points ($2). Game developer Rare has also put out a Premium Holiday Theme featuring characters from their games including Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, and the pinata animals from Viva Pinata.
