Live! and XP... Cant get it to work.

Ok when I built a XP system my old Live! card wouldnt work(no sound), so I was stuck using onboard audio on my Epox8k7a. So I waited patiently for the drivers and yesterday they became available and I installed the drivers. Unfortunately it didnt work... I disabled on board audio from CMOS which is suggested on the soundblaster site, I then uninstalled the drivers for the onboard audio and Live!, then reinstalled live! and still no sound, not a peep. After about 20 reboots im getting real tired of this....Does anyone have any suggestions?

Win XP has native driver support for the Live cards. I have the original SB Live! w/ daughter card running off the native drivers, and it works like a champ.
