Live Again - Logitech Harmony 550 @ Amazon for $49.99

I have a comment......

I am seeing this for $75.99. Not available from the Amazon Warehouse currently (6:32pm Central, 4/5/08)

No dedicated Tivo/DVR button, and the transport buttons are too high, too small, and too close together. Otherwise, it should be a good unit for a light DVR user, or someone who has a fairly complex system (A/V receiver, several source components) without a DVR.

weird... this was 49 bucks last night, and i was thinking about getting it. went to pull the trigger today and now it's $85.

Now showing for me as $73.88 shipped from Electronics Expo. Before when it showed the $85.37, the shipper was Amazon.

This is a great deal for 49.99 shipped. I got in on this original deal and it works perfectly!

I just got this remote last week for my birthday... not going to tell my dad it just went on sale from the exact same retailer for $50 ugh! I have a fairly complex system that includes a Tivo DVR. I know a lot of people dislike this remote for DVR's, and it is true that some of the higher models have better positioned buttons for DVR's, but the difference in price was not worth the convience of slightly better placed buttons. After a week I'm already used to the layout for the Tivo on there, and everything works perfectly.

I'm running a Westinghouse 37" HDTV, Onkyo Reciever, Monoprice HDTV switch, DVD Player, TiVo HD, Wii, and a Playstation 2. It took all of 30 mins to set up the remote to work with everything (note it doesn't work to turn on the Wii... but why wouldn't you use the wiimote for that anyway). This is a great deal at $50, and comes highly recommended from a satisfied customer.

If he bought it from Amazon they will likely credit him the difference. They're very generous about that, they've credited me even outside their official pricematch policy.

Wow, didn't know about that thanks! I'll give him a call to tell him.

I've got one of these, and works great, for what it is.

In reality, usually all I use it for is to turn everything on and off. I find I use the regular remote for both my squeezebox and Directv DVR. The layout is just much more convenient on the standard remotes.
