Live '95 was the first in the series that I loved. However, ever since Easports started to release the 2k series I play that stuff. I wasn't very happy with 2k5 but will still pick up 2k6. The last few Live games I have not enjoyed playing.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Care to explain?

NBA Live 2006 is the only way to go. Beat it on PC and I'll give you a cookie. Ok I mean beat it as in crap team vs good team, 12 min quarters, realism settings up and then superstar mode.

I have never beaten Warriors vs. Dream Team/Lakers on NBA Live 2005 despite trying a billion times. The closest I've gotten was to overtime...

Console game NBA = bs. No challenge, no difficulty. They let you make easy shots. Play against the computer in NBA Live on PC and you will be frustrated as hell.

Let's end this right here.

Live is more of an arcade game and lots of people find that fun. I havent played it myself but I did play Live 05 and the graphics were horrible. I dont know what it is with ppl and their expectations of the EA series, but everything from madden to the nba game have horrible graphics compared to the 2k series. Interestingly enough, NCAA Football 2006 from EA is MUCH better than the Madden series in my opinion.

As for 2k6, I got it about a week ago. I got very frustrated with the right analog stick but I've gotten used to it. No more easy crossovers, you really have to work for it. If you want to be able to cross someone over with the push of a button, then Live is for you. If you want a game that's challenging and you actually have to work on both offense and defense (such as in real life when you're playing ball), then 2k6 is for you.

I can tell you this though, the defense and offense of the AI is much improved from last year. On offense you'll see players run off of screens and on defense they'll clog the middle if the AI blows past your defender. I like it and I'm on my third game.

So Live 06 sucks? I guess I don't feel so bad about the 360 version not being ready on release day (or will it be?).

How are the modification to the controls in 2K6? It sounds from the reviews like they've not only ditched the lame iso-motion they used to have an put in something really excellent.
